Job Description
The Associate Account Director / Senior Account Manager plays a vital role in ensuring operational excellence and client satisfaction. This position is responsible for managing key client relationships, overseeing complex project execution, and directly coaching the Account team to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
Client Partnership (30% workload)
- Act as the primary strategic consultant for key clients, building “indispensable” relationships based on trust and value.
- Deeply understand client’s business issues to provide proactive consultation and effective communication solutions.
- Manage client expectations daily, handling feedback, and resolving conflicts/issues before they escalate to the Director level.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell services to existing clients to increase “Share of Wallet”.
Account & Project Execution (25% workload)
- Lead the planning and execution of integrated campaigns, ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams (Planning, Creative, Media, Production) and external vendors.
- Develop detailed project roadmaps, timelines, and workflows; ensure all stakeholders adhere to the plan.
- Manage project finance strictly: budget allocation, quotation accuracy, cost control, and negotiation with suppliers to optimize project P&L.
- Quality Control all deliverables (visuals, content, plans) to ensure they meet the Agency’s standards before sending to clients.
Team Leadership & People Development (20% workload)
- Directly supervise and mentor Account Managers/Executives on daily tasks.
- Allocate workload and specific sales targets to team members as assigned by the Director.
- Conduct on-the-job training to improve the team’s skills in client service, project management, and proposal writing.
- Monitor team performance and spirit; foster a supportive and collaborative working environment.
Business development (10% workload)
- Support the Director in hunting new projects by leading the proposal development process and pitching to potential clients.
- Contribute to building the Department’s resources (Credentials, Case Studies, Vendor Database).
- Cascade company strategy and culture to the team members.
Strategy & Campaign Effectiveness (10% workload)
- Collaborate with the Planning team to ensure the execution phase stays true to the strategic direction.
- Oversee the reporting phase, ensuring data and insights are presented clearly to demonstrate ROI to clients.
Innovation & Industry Awareness (5% workload)
- Stay updated with market trends and propose new tactics/formats to refresh client campaigns.
Requirement
Education & experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or related fields.
- 5-7 years in marketing/communications agency. Min. 1 year in a managerial role (Senior Account Manager/Associate Director).
